Lisa Liu is a Chinese-American artist with a versatile skill set that spans music, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Raised in a musical household by her Juilliard-trained operatic soprano mother, Li-Ping Hsieh, Lisa's early training led her to perform violin and piano recitals at Juilliard Pre-College during her senior year of high school, showcasing her commitment to music. Her academic journey at The Juilliard School was notable, earning her a Pre-College Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in violin performance, under the mentorship of renowned pedagogue Dorothy DeLay.

Lisa's musical interests span multiple genres, including a unique improvisation on an album created by Pope John Paul II that featured artists like Britney Spears, Aerosmith, and Justin Timberlake. Her recording debut, "Honest Music," composed by Nico Muhly, took place in Bjork’s house. These experiences broadened her repertoire, engaging her with hip-hop and rock bands, DJ collaborations, Middle-Eastern ensembles, emerging composers, and making her a popular entertainer in New York's vibrant club scene. Lisa plays electric, 5-string, and baritone violins, showcasing her versatility.

After moving to Los Angeles to be closer to her family, Lisa quickly became a prominent fixture in the Hollywood studio recording scene, serving as concertmaster for shows like The Voice, X-Factor, and American Idol. Her talents are featured in hundreds of film and TV soundtracks, such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, A Star is Born, and Family Guy.

As an orchestral contractor, Lisa has assembled musicians for acts including Duran Duran, Gorillaz, and Zelda Symphony, leading to sold-out performances at Coachella, The Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall. In 2021, she co-produced a benefit honoring cellist Lynn Harrell, featuring legendary composer John Williams and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.
